Again
Maintenance Control System
Introduction
The Again
Maintenance Control system has been designed to provide a remote or onsite
secure building maintenance administration system for both Again enabled and
non enabled buildings.
With Again
enabled buildings ( See Again Access Control System ), building supervisors
can remotely issue work orders, enable access to the work on particular days
at designated times, without the need to physically issues keys.
When advanced
wall kiosks are installed, workers can check in using the Again card, download
the access permissions. As an additional security feature, the cardholder's
picture can be taken and stored, monitoring who actually is working in the
building.
Where building
are not Again enabled, work instructions can be still be issued remotely,
with the information being downloaded on to the contractors individual cards,
these are then handed in to building security and verified before handing
keys out.
Basic Concept
The control
of who enters and leave buildings is an increasing issue in terms of security
and safety. The competency of those doing the work is also an issue.
The idea behind
the maintenance control system is that all individual contractors are registered
on the system, ( the amount of detail can be as little as name , address,
employer, D.O.B, contact numbers, Photo ID, extending to certificates of competency
, qualification details, insurance details )
When issue
work orders, the system can monitor who is doing the work, and when used in
Again enabled buildings, the system can automatically issue access permissions
to give the contractor access to the particular job , at a particular time,
without the need for collecting and returning keys.
Using the System
The system is run using a central webserver, staff assigning work log on through
a password protected website and issue work orders. If the building is Again
enabled, they also set access permissions to the work order. An email is then
sent to the contractor notifying him that there is a job to do. The contractor
( who has signed up to the scheme so has the relevant software and card readers
) download the information onto a Maintenance control card selecting the individual
workers details as well. ( including photo ID ).
When turning
up and the site or building, the card is presented to security and read, (
where wall kiosks are installed, the contractor checks in us the wall kiosk,
and has their picture taken for additional security.
As the individual
security office pc /kiosks are linked to the central system, verification
is quick and accurate. If the contractor is out of time or late, then security
can change the access permissions locally, with the changes being logged.
Where contractors
charge on a time basis, the system can help you monitor time actually worked.
